The hotel staff were also wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Their hospitality made our stay even better. Thank you all for the great service! Our shuttle driver, Nick, was incredibly kind, upbeat, and genuinely happy to help. His positive attitude made every ride enjoyable, and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of during our multiple excursions. He truly added to our trip and made it even more memorable.

My husband and I have done a great deal of traveling the past year since we became married. This Holiday Inn was by Far the most accommodating. From Stephen who picked us up promptly at the airport, to Adhraa who greeted us so professionaly, to Art who was a real gentleman every evening greeting us as we came in from a long day with a big smile. Then there is housekeeping - they were phenomenal - cleaning our room daily so we had a clean room to retire in for the evening. But it didn't stop there...Our plane was delayed due to storms and Julius at the front desk arranged for a late checkout including shuttle service to the Airport! I forgot to mention the great breakfast every morning. If you are looking for a reasonably priced room, cleanliness and a very professional staff that is SO KIND LOOK NO FURTHER!! ALSO, hotel is centrally located for All San Diego Attractions!! We will be back. Louise Wood Gutietrez

We had an excellent stay here last week. From being shuttled from the airport to being shuttled back to the airport five days later and everything in between our experience was great. The shuttle drivers were always available, kind and personable. The front desk personnel were always smiling and accommodating 24/7. Our room was clean, breakfast very nice and there was fresh, hot coffee anytime we needed it. Everyone in our group highly recommend this hotel. Well done, and thank you for a fantastic graduation week.

Late review but we stayed at this hotel for few days in dec 2025. Rooms were clean and nice. Service was up to the mark and the location was very convenient from airport, old town and balboa park/san diego zoo etc via uber. Adhraa/Art at front desk were always very helpful and Steven our cybertruck driver gave us good tips on middle eastern restaurants since we were so done eating mexican and italian food most of the time. Yes, they have Tesla cybertruck and shuttle vans for trips to old town and airport subject to availability of course. My 10yr old son was ecstatic every time we got into the cybertruck. Overall we were very happy with the staff, ambience and location and do recommend this place.

Ulises at the front desk seriously the BEST!!! He is so polite and so welcoming that you can tell that he loves what he does and he loves looking after guests. This truly is what every Holiday Inn employee should be. I have stayed at this hotel, many times, but I’ve never come across someone as amazing as him truly, I would stay in just because he is there and I know that I will be looked after. Also, the hotel has great breakfast and free electrical charging for your car and the rooms are clean and well maintained and very quiet Excellent location and even more excellent staff, such as Ulises

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stay for a family trip to SeaWorld – friendly staff & perfect location We had a really nice stay at Holiday Inn Express San Diego Airport–Old Town while visiting San Diego for a family trip to SeaWorld, and the convenience of this hotel made our trip even better. The location was perfect — it was easy and quick to get to SeaWorld, which was a huge plus when traveling with our 8-year-old daughter. The staff truly stood out during our visit. Adhraa, Eli, and Art were all incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating. Since we were traveling with a child, they went out of their way to help us find a quieter room so we could rest comfortably. They also made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and were very helpful with the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and Old Town. We also really appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which made our mornings so easy before heading to the park. My daughter’s favorite part was the make-your-own pancake machine, which she absolutely loved and still talks about. The breakfast was well stocked and a great way to start the day. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall, this was a very pleasant stay, and we would definitely choose this hotel again — especially for families visiting SeaWorld or looking for a convenient, welcoming place to stay in San Diego.

They really cater to their guests, by far the best experience that I have had, we attended MCRD Dinner, family day and graduation day. Nick the shuttle driver was outstanding, he was very friendly and courteous he made us feel welcomed. The front counter staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions. The breakfast was very good and fresh and the staff was always very attentive. The pool was nice and heated. Overall it was a great experience.

Holiday Inn Express is absolutely amazing. Ulises, Ayad and Steven and Nick were always ready and available to shuttle us wherever we needed to go. They offer free shuttle to some places but an uber service to further places for a reasonable cost. We were there for our grandsons Marine graduation. They shuttled us back and forth many times for that. The rooms are clean, the breakfast was very good. It’s definitely not your average hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Very close to the airport that they shuttle you to and from.
